THE HOLY YATRA ON JUNE 24th-12th, JULY, 2012

Day 01/ Sunday 24th June, 2012.
Departure from Toronto international Airport.
Day 02/ Monday 25th June, 2012.
Arrival at Delhi international Airport.
Day 03/ Tuesday 26th June, 2012.
Departure from Delhi and Arrival on Kathmandu international Airport.
Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. Briefing session in the evening

Day 04/ Wednesday 27th June, 2012.
Kathmandu: Breakfast, trip to temples and back to Hotel for lunch. After lunch, final preparation for yatra i.e, checking and demonstration of equipments which will be used during the yatra. If anybody needs to buy or get things on hire, our staff will help you out. Dinner.
Day 05/ Thursday 28th June, 2012.
Drive to Nylam (150km), 3750m: Morning after breakfast drive Kathmandu to Nyalam [3800M]. We drive to Friendship Bridge [Nepal – China Boarder]. Walk along for 10 minutes to cross the bridge. After accomplishment all the immigration and custom formalities meet Chinese guide and land cruiser drivers, then processed the journey to Zangmu, and Nyalam. Arrival at Nyalam and overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 06/ Friday 29th June, 2012.
IN NYALAM FOR ACCLIMATIZATIONThe day is dedicated for acclimatization at Nyalam. Go for a short trek of about three hours in Nyalam itself. Overnight stay at Hotel Nyalam or similar.
Day 07/ Saturday 30th June, 2012.

TO SAGA (4600 m) 240 km - After breakfast, drive through the windswept territory
passing many villages and camps of Yak herders with a distant view of snow capped
mountains. Go through the first high pass, Lalung La Pass (5000 m) where a superb
view of the Himalayas can be enjoyed from Gaurishanker, Shishapangma to Langtang
Himal. Drive past Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen and Peigutso Lake (4400m).
Continue the drive, crossing the river ?Yarling Tsangpo? known as Bhramaputra, to
reach Saga (4600 m; 240 km / 6 -7 hours drive). Overnight stay at local guest house.

Day 08/ Sunday 01st July, 2012.

SAGA TO PRAYANG (4750m) 255 km - After breakfast, drive to Paryang (4750 m)
255 km / 4 hrs drive through windswept territory, passing many villages and
camps of Yak herders with distant view of snow capped mountains.

PRAYANG TO MANASAROVAR (4560 m) 223 km 4 hrs - lifetime, as you will
have the first sight (darshan) of the holy Mt. Kailash and the holy Mansarovar Lake.
Camp on the bank of the Lake. Overnight stay at local guest house. PRADOSHAM.

Day 09/ Monday 02nd July, 2012.
Puja and drive to Tarchen (14975ft): Manasarovara is the lake of compassion, tranquility and bliss. After completing the memorable morning Bath and Puja we will be heading towards Tarchen. It is considered as a base camp for the Holy Kailash Parikrama.

Day 10/ Tuesday 03rd July, 2012.
DRIVE TO TARBOCHE (13 km) and TREK TO DIRAPUK (4860 m) 7 km - After breakfast, drive about 13 km to Tarboche, the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. The first day of the Kora is a gradual walk with multitudes of other local pilgrims chanting and praying. The trail will lead you to a few ups and downs till you reach our camp/guest house at Dirapuk (4860 m) 7 km / 4 to 5 hours trek. Overnight stay at local guest house. - FULLMOON
Day 11/ Wednesday 04th July, 2012.
DIRAPUK TO ZUTULPUK (4760 m) 18 km - Today the circumbulation (Kora) will lead to a much higher elevation of the holy path, just beneath Mt. Kailash. The walk will bring us to one of the highest point at Drolma La, (5,200 m) before gradually descending to the field towards Zuthulphuk for an overnight stay, after 5 - 6 hours of a walk. Zuthulphuk (4760 m) 18 km / 9 - 10 hrs.

Day 12/ Thursday 05th July, 2012.

Day 13/ Friday 06th July, 2012.
After breakfast, proceed to Serrlung Monastery and to Nandi Parvat, which offers
an excellent view of Mt. Kailash. Overnight stay in Darchen,

Day 14/ Saturday 07th July, 2012.
DRIVE FROM DARCHEN TO SAGA (4600m) 500 km - stay in Saga.

Day 15/ Sunday 08th July, 2012.
SAGA TO NYALAM, overnight stay.
Day 16/ Monday 09th July, 2012.
NYALAM (3750m) TO BORDER - DRIVE TO KATHMANDU (1350m) – Drive downhill to Zhangmu and the Friendship Bridge where transportation awaits for the final leg of the journey to Kathmandu (150 km) / 8 - 9 hr. After reaching the Friendship Bridge, you will be leaving the Tibet vehicles on the other side of the border and will walk for about 15 minutes towards the Nepal Immigration Post where the coach for Nepal would be waiting for you. The border guide will assist you to shift your belongings towards the Nepal side of the bridge. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 17/ Tuesday 10th July, 2012.
Free day in Kathmandu, Day trip for Mt.Everest flight (optional)
Day 18/ Wednesday 11th July, 2012.
Day 19/ Thursday 12th July, 2012.
